•Sonic reverb collaborative project | sonicreverb.tumblr.com This page is a collection of work created by CSM Fine Art 4D first-year students centering around the sonic and its reverberation in new situational contexts. The Event was one day and it was open to the public for 1 week. My work 'La Creacion', focused on the contractions of the body and beats. I recorded daily lockdown sounds and started to experimentat with low frequencies. Inspired by hip-hop and Spanish Nightlife, this song is also a careful analysis that deals with the language and rhythm of poet Gustavo Adolfo Becquer and every sound you hear is a symbol alluding Romanticist language, as well as the beat, following his typical rhythmical structures and symbolism.
DND Emotion Map with Ambient Sound Forest, HTML Maze and Virtual Reality Space. Event in Collaboration with N. Wong Zhao and A. Pert.
ABOUT ME Photographer & Graphic Designer. Current MA Graphic Design student with an interest in branding and new materials. Event photography (private events, music, festivals, fine art, fashion), artist portraiture, artist's studios & processes. Landscape photography for prints. Experienced in medium format cameras, broadcast and film cameras. Junior videographer, experienced in film and commercial productions (cinematographic assistance ). About my practice
I started by modifying my camera to be able to take IR photographs. I was fascinated by nature. I captured the desert landscapes of Spain and my home city and continued going on trips to the most remote places to photograph a "broken" and mysterious beauty. I work with astrophotography, IR photography. With light painting. My sets, symbols and lighting are meticulously planned. During and after the pandemic, my practice has shifted to translating my futuristic landscapes into C4D (The Creation series, 2021).
I am interested in street dance and the idea of communicating with rhythm and colour. I am constantly investigating how to translate rhythms into colours and textures. My visual pieces act as a graphic score that I, as an artist, have to constantly ''play'' and reinterpret, as does the viewer. My aim is to offer new perspectives and sensing possibilities by creating a synesthesia while playing with perception and mystery.
The futuristic visuals in my work, sometimes dreamlike and colourful and sometimes dark and macabre, are influenced by theatre, Spanish literature and archetypes. Spanish Romanticism 'Becquer' and Goya's Black Paintings contributed to the dark and mysterious aesthetics and also their symbolism. Each symbol signifies something in the images and each component constitutes what I like to call 'the stage'.
I like to see my whole artistic practice as a piece with different chapters and "dreams". Sometimes, I like to work under the technique of surrealistic automatism, which focuses on accessing material from the subconscious mind, which I then represent with colours, textures and different symbols. I like to talk about taboos and to challenge what is normal, to make people think about future and present possibilities.
